Works: You add the recommended rate of Hydro-Plant to your soil, either at the time of planting or to existing plants. When these tiny crystals are hydrated, they will swell to absorb hundreds of times their weight in liquid.
The plant roots will grow through or attach themselves to the polymers. The water-holding capacity of the soil is greatly enhanced by the polymers which, when hydrated, will grab and hold water and nutrients, thus creating little reservoirs in the root zone that are available to the plant on a gradual basis as the soil dries out. The shrink/swell cycle the polymer goes through as it is expands and contracts actually helps aerate the soil. Hydro-Plant is environmentally safe and breaks down into its component parts of ammonia, carbon dioxide and water with no residual toxicity.
